This lovely painting by Louisa Burnett-Hall is how I am feeling today . . . . . . .
Over the Moon
I got some great news today! This morning Polkadot Gallery in Exeter sold my framed and matted accordion book, ‘Le Voyage Sacre’ which has been hanging in the front window.

Very exciting. I think this is the first time that a stranger has bought one of my pieces of art work. Yes it is. Last year I sold three art quilts, two to friends and one commission to a work colleague. It feels different to sell work from a gallery, anonymously. What a nice affirmation though. I hope for the person who now owns it, that their soul is touched.
I’ve been pondering quite a lot for the past several months on ‘What do I want to do with my art making?’ How to make some, or most, or all of my living at it without losing my soul, which is such a big part of what goes into it. More on that later. For now, I am pleased as punch.
Now I can replace my camera and buy some more ink cartridges for my printer and make some more accordion books. Yay! Very cool.
