Medicine Tree

This is a mixed media environmental art installation comprised of leather strips, feathers, leaves, birch bark, slate, copper wire with verdigris, tortoise shells, fabric and fur. It is meant to stay until it is no longer.

The adorned tree is a coppiced hazel, one of many that grows along the stream near where I live.

  1. The details of this piece are really fascinating. When you have time, do you have another pic of it from a greater distance, so one can view in the whole environment?

    Interesting work.
