Cat dancing

snowfall

How do I capture the silent snowfall at night
seen from my living room window?
.
.
Moth-like,
swarming and
enamoured with the light.

And heard;

drifting dollops of snow,
voluptuous;
snow plumptuously plopping onto snow

or the hush of featherflakes lighting.

An elegant and whisperous sound.

And how to convey the child-like joy,
felt
then and now.

Age 8, hot summer night in West Covina, California.
With my calico cat, Elizabeth,
out under the street lights.

Catching June bugs and moths and snowflakes together.  Always.

Cat dancing.
